How do I qualify for rent cash back each month?
To earn 1 % cash back on your monthly rent, you must link your rent payment account (typically a checking account), confirm your lease details and complete five qualifying activities each month. You don’t need to change how you pay rent. Fancy tracks payments automatically.
How much cash back can I earn?
Renters receive 1 % cash back on verified rent payments, up to $30 per month.
What payment methods can be used?
Only digital, traceable payments made from your linked bank account or card, paid directly to your landlord or property management company will qualify for rent rewards through Fancy.
Ineligible Payment Methods include cash, payments from another person’s account, rent bundled into third‑party bills, payroll deductions, shared account payments and unsupported peer‑to‑peer apps are not eligible.
What if I split my rent with one or more roommates?
Each renter can earn cash back if they have their own Fancy account and if they pay their portion of the rent from a personal bank account directly to the property management company. Each person who pays the landlord will receive cash back on the amount they pay. Fancy cannot divide a single transaction across multiple users.
What happens if I miss a month of qualifying?
If you don’t complete all five tasks in a month, you won’t receive cash back for that month, but your eligibility resets the next month.

Fancy partners with a mix of national and local brands. When you shop with a linked card at participating merchants, or click through an offer within the app to make a purchase on the merchant website, you earn extra cash back.
